Second Catch facilitates shipping for all transactions on the platform to ensure a secure, standardized, and trackable delivery process for both buyers and sellers.
Buyer Responsibility for Shipping Costs
- Buyers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with their purchase.
- Shipping fees are calculated at checkout and included in the buyer’s total payment.
- These fees may vary based on item size, weight, destination, and carrier rates.
Shipping Labels & Carrier Selection
- All shipping labels are generated and provided through Shippo, our third-party shipping partner.
- Second Catch selects from available carriers and service levels via Shippo to provide reliable tracking and delivery.
- Sellers must use the provided shipping label and may not substitute their own labels or carriers.
Seller Shipping Instructions
- Once a transaction is completed, the seller will receive:
- A prepaid shipping label generated through Shippo
- Packing and shipping instructions
- Sellers are required to:
- Ship the item within the designated timeframe
- Package the item securely and in accordance with the provided instructions
- Drop off or schedule pickup with the designated carrier shown on the label
Tracking & Delivery
- All shipments include tracking.
- Buyers can monitor shipment status directly through their Second Catch account.
- Delivery confirmation may be used to trigger inspection periods and seller payouts, in accordance with Second Catch’s marketplace policies.
Shipping Issues & Delays
- Second Catch is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or other circumstances outside our control.
- If a shipment is lost or damaged in transit, buyers and sellers must notify Second Catch promptly so we can assist in coordinating with the carrier via Shippo.
International Shipping
- If applicable, buyers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees.
- International shipping availability and rates will be displayed at checkout when supported.
