Prohibited Listings

To maintain a safe, trusted, and compliant marketplace, certain items and listings are not allowed on Second Catch. Listings that violate these rules may be removed, and repeated violations may result in account suspension.

Items That Are Not Allowed

The following items may not be listed or sold on Second Catch:

  • Firearms, ammunition, or firearm components
  • Weapons or weapon accessories (including knives intended as weapons)
  • Explosives, fireworks, or hazardous materials
  • Illegal, regulated, or controlled substances
  • Counterfeit, replica, or unauthorized branded items
  • Stolen items or items with unclear ownership
  • Recalled products or items deemed unsafe
  • Animals, live bait, or biological materials
  • Services or non-physical items
  • Items that violate local, state, or federal law

Restricted Fishing & Outdoor Gear

Some items related to fishing and outdoor activities may be restricted or prohibited depending on regulations, including:

  • Gear intended for illegal fishing practices
  • Items prohibited by regional fishing, wildlife, or conservation laws
  • Modified gear designed to bypass legal limits or enforcement

Sellers are responsible for ensuring their listings comply with all applicable regulations.

Listing & Content Restrictions

Listings may be removed if they include:

  • False, misleading, or incomplete descriptions
  • Undisclosed damage, defects, or missing components
  • Stock images or images not of the actual item
  • Missing required photos or videos (including reel functionality videos)
  • Inappropriate, offensive, or abusive language
  • Attempts to move transactions off the Second Catch platform

Condition & Authenticity Requirements

  • Items must match the condition selected in the listing
  • All known wear, damage, or mechanical issues must be disclosed
  • Counterfeit or imitation items are strictly prohibited
  • Listings must accurately represent the item being sold

Failure to disclose material issues may result in refunds or account action.

Enforcement & Account Action

Second Catch reserves the right to:

  • Remove or disable listings that violate this policy
  • Suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or serious violations
  • Withhold payouts related to prohibited or fraudulent listings
  • Cooperate with law enforcement when required

Seller Responsibility

By listing on Second Catch, sellers agree to:

  • Follow all platform policies
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Accurately represent items and fulfill orders promptly
